What role can unfed aquaculture play in the contest?

Fully unfed aquaculture systems—such as oyster or seaweed farming—are not eligible for the challenge, as the F3 Fish Farm Challenge focuses on raising carnivorous finfish on feeds that contain no marine-animal ingredients. However, feed ingredients derived from non-animal aquaculture sources may be used, provided they comply with all F3 Fish Farm Challenge rules.
