The F3 Challenge’s goal is to help companies jump-start the process of future-proofing their aquaculture supply chain. Wild catch is a vulnerability in the feed supply chain, because its supply is variable and declining. Removing wild catch from feed enhances global food security, and protects ocean health. For these reasons, the F3 challenge incentivizes the aquaculture industry to replace declining wild-caught marine ingredients with nutritionally equivalent substitutes.
