How does F3 differ from certifications such as ASC, MSC, or BAP?

F3 is not a certification or a formal ecolabeling program like ASC, MSC, or BAP.  F3 does not charge licensing fees or certify products for sale.  Existing certifications such as ASC or BAP may complement a company’s broader sustainability efforts, but they do not replace or substitute for the F3 Challenge’s verification requirements for the purposes of winning the F3 Fish Farm Challenge.  There are marketing benefits from entering the challenge.  Those are outlined in the challenge overview FAQs.
