How long will it take for F3 feeds to become mainstream?

It is hard to say, but change can be rapid.  Some alternatives, such as algae-based oils and poultry by-products, are already widely adopted. Other ingredients will scale over the next several years as production volumes increase and costs decline. The challenge is designed to help accelerate this transition by creating incentives to move innovations from pilot to commercial scale.
